Surf lady dies
Nancy Katin, known as “the first lady of surfing” even though she never rode a surfboard, has died. She was 86. Mrs Katin, whose Kanvas by Katin shop sold surfers’ swimwear for decades, had a passion for surfing. The status associated with Katin trunks among surfers, earned her the first lady title.—Long Beach.
