Viko 1:10 bonus
PA Wellington Viko Holdings, Ltd, has declared a one-for-10 bonus issue to shareholders registered on February 26. Final accounts have yet to be completed and audited but a preliminary statement for the year ended December 31, indicated an after tax profit up 1.1 per cent at $1,192,000 (1984: $1,179,000). Turnover at $15,736,000 ($13,921,000) is up 13.0 per cent, before-tax profit is up 6.2 per cent at $1,009,000 ($950,000). There were no extraordinary items, com-
pared with a $94,000 extraordinary gain in 1984. After extraordinary items, annual profit is up 9.86 per cent. The directors will also recommend to shareholders at the annual meeting on April 17 that a final dividend of 6.5 c a share (as forecast) be paid and that this be paid on the increased capital after the bonus issue. An interim dividend of 3.5 c a share was paid in September, 1985. A scheme allowing the choice of bonus shares in lieu of dividends will be proposed at the annual meeting in April.
