Coast cannabis find
Greymouth reporter The police on the West Coast have now seized about 3000 cannabis plants since December, including the recovery of 100 plants from the Granity and Millerton areas at the week-end.
Detective Sergeant Alistair Smith, head of the Greymouth C. 1.8., said he
was concerned about the amount of cannabis recovered because it suggested people were growing it for commercial reasons. Many plants were seized after calls from the public. The police would still welcome any information about cannabis and all calls would be treated confidentially, he said.
