Skating duo on display
One of the world’s best roller skating dance duo, the German couple, Martin Hass and Andrea Steudte, will make four appearances on the Rollerland rink this evening. The 1985 world roller dance champions will present compulsory dances, original set pattern dance, free-, dance and a show number in their turns on
the rink. In between their performances the successful Christchurch skaters at the recent South Island championships in Nelson will exhibit their routines. The - young German skaters ; were originally awarded gold medals at the World Games in London last August only to later discover that a/computer error had placed
them first instead of second. It has been a hectic time for the couple as they have rushed through their Australian and New Zealand tour and yesterday they were in Dunedin. However, according to a spokesperson for the New Zealand Federation of Roller Skating, the tour has proved extremely popular.
