Conditions test runners
High temperatures and a hilly course made heavy demands on runners at the Peninsula and Plains Orienteers meeting at Victoria Park yesterday. More than 100 competitors took part. Graham Boniface had a convincing win in the 60-minute event. Results:— 60-minute. — G. Boniface, 210 points, 1; G. Frith, 205, 2; A. Cook and R. Bolch (200), equal 3. 30-minute.— W. Osmers, 90, 1; A. Harris, 75, 2; C. Williams, 65, 3. Yellow course (2.5km).— N. Tuffley, 25min 18s, 1; C. Tuffley, 28.26, 2; G. McLlntoch, 33.25, 3. Novice course (I.4km). — R. Cross, 13min 565, 1; M. Morrin, 16.50, 2; Hunter family, 18.12. 3.
