Buoyant wool sale

PA Dunedin The market was buoyant at the Dunedin wool sale yesterday when keen, spirited bidding lifted prices for many lines. A significant lift showed in prices for poorer short wool, and also lambs’ wool and second-shear. The Wool Board bid on 12 per cent of the offering and bought 3.4 per cent. Compared with the last sale in Christchurch on January 31, all fine wool lines were firm or improved up to 2.5 per cent, said the official report. All fine crossbred was in sellers’ favour. Better wool in the medium and strong crossbred section was inclined in buyers’ favour, and poorer styles in sellers’ favour. Crossbred second-shear
