M The operation will harvest 215,000 cubic metres of pine logs annually, under a long term wood supply agreement. The mill and supply are close to Lautoka, at the NorthWest end of Viti Levu, the main island in the Fiji Group. The first Chief Executive has just been appointed, we are now recruiting the key members of the management team. The Reading Supervisor will be accountable to the Logging Superintendent for locating and controlling the construction of roads and skids, to meet the requirements of forward logging plans. A reading program has been proposed for the first 5 years, covering an area of 3700 ha. REQUIREMENTS • A proven performance record in the design, planning and construction of roads within a forestry environment. • Preferably some experience in a developing country, or at least a feel for the conditions of a tropical climate. • Ability to communicate with people at all levels including senior management, local officials, independent contractors, and company employees. ® The drive and desire to be an integral part of a successful team on an exciting new challenge. ® Age range flexible, experience and technical expertise is of key importance.
