The successful applicant will direct a small Wellington-based Secretariat and will be primarily responsible to the Chairman and members of the Social Sciences Research Fund Committee. This position is an important and influential one in continuing the development of the Social Sciences in New Zealand. Duties and responsibilities Include Investigation applications for funding support, administration of the committee’s funding and research programmes and other activities, liaison between the committee and organisations with an interest in social science research, and providing background papers, advisory reports and technical assistance to the Committee and other organisations Involved in research.
