Hit-and-run injuries
A man suffered moderately serious head injuries after his motorcycle was hit by a car in New Brighton on Wednesday night. A Ministry of Transport spokesman said the car did not stop after hitting the motor-cycliest The motor-cyclist, Vin-
cent Maloney, aged 18, of 40 Jellicoe Street, South New Brighton, was reported in a comfortable condition in Burwood Hospital last evening. He was treated for head, arm, and leg injuries. The accident happened in Union Street, about 1 a.m.
