NZPA-AAP Sydney Arbitration Commission talks between Qantas and the Australian International Cabin Crew Association in Melbourne adjourned yesterday with both parties agreeing not to discuss details of the talks.

A spokesman for Qantas, Mr Ken Boys said the parties would seek talks with the Aviation Department on the Boeing 7675. Cabin crew in Sydney will stop work today to discuss the safety of the Boeing 767. This will delay 16 international flights out of Sydney for several hours.

About 5000 passengers are expected to be affected by the stoppage. No Christchurch flights will be affected.
