Changing place for concert
Sir, — Having read in “The Press” that the organiser of the coming Dire Straits concert is investigating an alternative venue for this event, I wish to express the disappointment of myself and many of my friends. One of the main reasons we all rushed in and bought our tickets in the first week of sale was the appeal of the Addington Show Grounds as the venue. At previous concerts we have been to at Queen Elizabeth II Park we found this venue disappointing and are also dubious about getting a satisfactory view at Lancaster Park. If the change of venue goes ahead, we will be looking for less discerning people to pass our tickets to. — Yours, etc.,
HELEN WILSON. February 5, 1986.
