Laundry bans withdrawn
An overtime ban and go-slow by laundry workers at the St George’s and Wesley private hospitals were withdrawn yesterday. Eleven workers had been taking limited action over award claims after striking for five days between January 17 and 31. They decided to return to work after an Arbitration Court hearing in Wellington on Tuesday which referred the dispute back to conciliation. No date has been set for the conciliation council to resume.
