I.U.D. injuries

Sir, —I was shocked and surprised to read your article of January 29, on the Accident Compensation Corporation’s attitude to injuries resulting from the use of I.U.D.S. The corporation’s reasoning that many women suffering injury through I.U.D. use will not be compensated as they know the risks associated is ludicrous.; Do not also rugby players, racing car drivers, etc., know the risks they place upon themselves. They are still eligible for compensation through the A.C.C. To me this looks a little like deliberate sexual harassment. I hope the A.C.C. will look at its reasoning and change the policy. — Yours, etc. S. E. CROAWELL. Hokitika, January 30,
