Races for maxi yachts
PA Wellington Maxi yachts in the Whitbread round-the-world fleet will compete in two races on an inner Auckland harbour course on Waitangi Day. The races have been organised by the Whitbread Round-the-World Race Committee, which said yesterday they would comprise the world’s first short course ocean-going maxi race series.
The yachts will be racing for the Country Lodge Inns Maxi Series Cup.
