Sir, —M. McGoldrick is sadly astray in her criticism of dogs on Sumner Beach. As the signs clearly state, dogs are permitted on the beach between Cave Rock and Menzies Street. In all the years that I have been familiar with the area, I have never seen 40 dogs on the beach at any one time. I dispute that M. McGoldrick saw that many. Those with a myopic view of dogs should check their facts before bursting into print Yours, etc.,
