Kaiapoi bowler in final

Ora Bate, of Kaiapoi, will be one of the finalists in the women’s bowls champlon-of-champions

singles at St Martins this morning. Her opponent will be either Mary Boon (Lincoln) or Altha Triggs (Riccarton Women’s). They will meet for a second time after Mrs Boon beat Mrs Triggs, the last two-lifer, on an extra

end in the final round yesterday.

This was Mrs Triggs’ second consecutive extraend game. In the previous round she had won on an extra end against Joan Rennie (Rangiora), who was also unbeaten up to this stage. Results.—
