Call to set up airline university

NZPA-Reuter Karachi Delegates from 42 airlines called for the setting up of a world aviation university. A resolution passed at the concluding session of a three-day International Air Transport Association (1.A.T.A.) seminar urged the organisation’s training advisory board to consider setting up the university. “It is just a thought and recommendation,” said Wiqar Azim, managing director of the State-run Pakistan International Airlines, later. Another . resolution urged member airlines to generate the funds needed to improve staff training facilities. The seminar on airline management stressed the need to improve managerial and technical skills.
