John Reid not fit

New Zealand will be without the' Auckland batsman, John Reid, for the vital World Series Cup cricket match against Australia at Adelaide today. Reid is suffering a minor knee injury but has not been on song with the bat during the tour, scoring 98 in seven innings. He has been replaced in the side by Northern Districts’ Bruce Blair, who might also be used

for his bowling. Blair has appeared in two games on tour, scoring seven not out in the first game at Melbourne and 29 not out at Brisbane. Auckland’s John Bracewell might be named twelfth man with the Adelaide Oval conducive to seam bowling. The New Zealand 12 is: Bruce Edgar, John Wright, Martin Crowe, Jeff Crowe, Jeremy Coney, Bruce Blair, Richard Hadlee, Martin Snedden, John Bracewell, Ervin McSweeney, Stu Gillespie, Ewen Chatfield.
