Sir, —A recent celebration dinner at a local seaside resort was spoilt by the practically raw vegetables (carrots, beans and courgettes) served with the meal. May I suggest, through your column, that diners be given a choice of crisp or cooked vegetables, in the same way as they have a choice of rare or medium steak. — Yours, etc.,
