Nelson sun gap wider
* Nelson has won the 1985 sun-city stakes battle with Blenheim by a bigger margin than printed in “The Press” on Thursday. A mistake in the sum of the monthly totals of sunshine hours for Nelson meant that its annual total
for last year was stated as 2372 hours instead of the correct figure, 2351. The October figure for Blenheim was also wrong. It should have been 197 hours, not 268. Blenheim therefore had a total of 2295 hours of sunshine in 1985, not 2366 as printed on Thursday and in a weather story on January 8. The average is 2449 hours.
