University Vacancies UNIVERSITY OF WAIKATO HAMILTON DEPARTMENT OF PSYCHOLOGY APPOINTMENT IN CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGY Vacancy No. AB6/1 APPLICATIONS are Invited for a permanent position as Lecturer In Psychology. The appointee will be required to assist the Director of the postgraduate Clinical Diploma programme in the teaching and supervision of trainee clinical psychologists at the graduate level. The appointee would also be expected to contribute to teaching undergraduate level courses In psychological assessment and the study of abnormal behaviour. Qualifications: Diploma or Doctorate in Clinical Psychology, or equivalent. The Department of Psychology has an establishment of 16 with a broad range of Interests. It provides a threeyear undergraduate programme leading to the Bachelor of Social Sciences and a two-year post-graduate programme leading to the Masters degree. The research degrees of Master of Philosophy and Doctor of Philosophy are also offered. The Department has access to good computing facilities via a VAX network and micro computers are also available to staff. Close relationships with a wide range of clinical facilities In and around the Waikato region have been established. The Diploma in Clinical Psychology programme normally takes three years to complete, enrolment being concurrent with the Master of Social Science degree. It has a predominantly behavioural orientation but applicants ,who also have expertise In 'other approaches will be considered. The current salary range for Lecturers is $28,000 to $35,000 p.a.
