‘Time’ agreement
NZPA-AAP Sydney An Australian newspaper group, John Fairfax and Sons, Ltd, has reached agreement with Time, Inc, to form a joint venture to publish “Time” magazine in Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific.
Spokesmen for the two companies said the joint venture — to be'known as
Time Australia, Pty, Ltd — will be based in Melbourne and equally owned. Most of the editorial pages would be identical with the international editions. The spokesmen said the magazine has a net paid circulation of 109,000 in Australia and 36,000 in New Zealand.
