PA Wellington New Zealand will stop sending military personnel to the United States either on exchange or for training, a Defence spokesman said. The final three New Zealand officers there under the A.N.Z.U.S. agreement will return by

the middle of the year, said Commander Gerry Power. He said one Air Force officer was due back in March, another in July and an Army officer was due back in June or July. , . The three have been either serving with .the United States forces, or on

study courses there. Commander Power said the exchange postings were allowed to continue until the three personnel’s time was served. When A.N.Z.U.S. was running < normally, all three services would have members on either training or exchange postings in the United States.
