Attack at police station
PA Auckland A policewoman was attacked by a teen-age girl with a knife while booking her at the Henderson police station. The girl, aged 16, was being arrested for assault when she pulled a 15cm hunting knife from her jeans and lunged at Constable Fiona Adam, who was cut on one hand trying to fend off her attacker. Her skirt was ripped. Other police quickly came to her aid, disarming the girl and handcuffing her. The girl and two other girls, aged 15 and 16, were being processed at the station after being arrested on charges of assaulting a woman on a bus on Wednesday.
