Sherry job
for firemen PA Wellington Two hundred and ten litres of sherry was poured out in Wellington yesterday — but not a wineglass was in sight. Firemen had to pump out Karori Wine Cellars when a big cask was dropped on delivery ... only about six inches, and out the liquor poured, ankle deep in parts. The firemen were “just about singing” from the fumes when they finished mopping up, said the cellar manager, Mr Bill Littleford. “Oh what a beautiful smell,” he said. The spilt sherry was worth $770.
