Brierleys has more of Huttons
Brierley Investments, Ltd, had bought the majority of the Hawke’s Bay Farmers Meat Co., Ltd, shareholding in the joint venture company, East Coast Consolidated, Ltd, the Brierley directors said yesterday. This move increased Brierley’s shareholding in Huttons N.Z., Ltd, from 59 per cent to 70 per cent. The purchase was agreed on some time ago at 155 c a share and had now been completed after receiving the approval from the Examiner of Commercial Practices, they said.
