Peace stickers on buses
Sir,—What a pleasure it is in these hard economic times to find that at least one Christchurch operation is making a profit; the Transport Board. Or one must presume it is, because Mr Anderson and his fellow Labour members are about to spend $5OO or more on nuclear-free peace stickers for the buses. They should be reminded that they gained their positions on the board on the promise to improve the operation and put it in a better financial position. Instead they fritter away ratepayers’ money on projects that bear no relation to the job they were elected to do. — Yours, etc., ROY PRICE. June 29, 1983.
