NZPA Brisbane Queensland snatched a 1410 win but the American Eagles rapped out a strong warning for next Saturday’s rugby test against Australia in a tense rugby match at Ballymore yesterday. Playing before their biggest crowd of the tour, the Americans matched Queensland with two tries each and

chances in next Saturday’s test after earlier saying that to get within 20 points of the Australians would be be a worthy effort. The Eagles team manager, Ken Wood, said last night: “Now we think we can win it. The squad has improved 100 per cent since we arrived in Australia three weeks ago.”
