The concrete surround of what used to be an Armagh Street shop window in the Shillito’s Buildings provides a frame for a new view of the Christchurch Drainage Board’s building. The demolition of Shillito’s Buildings, which formerly contained five retail shops, is now nearing completion. A new building is planned for the site, which is owned by the Bank of New Zealand's Provident Association. The building will have frontages to both Armagh Street and Oxford Terrace.
