Thesuccessful applicant will be a giaduate with at least 5 years industrial experience. Responsibilities will extend to interfacing with instrumentation and control, particularly computerised process control equipment. INSTRUMENT ENGINEER [ We invite applications for the position of Instrument Engineer to work in our Technical Department at Motunui. The successful applicant will have both pneumatic and electronic experience in a continuous process industry or in servicing such industry, and be knowledgeable about microprocessor based process control systems. Shift Superintendents — Assistant Shift Superintendents Applications are invited forthe positionsof Shift superintendents !in our Operations Department. Applicants should have a minimum of eight years experience in one of the following disciplines: Methanol Production Ammonia Production Naptha Reforming High Pressure Steam Generation, including Water Treating and related facilities. Maintenance Department Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced people for the positions of: INSTRUMENT SUPERVISORS Applicants should have had a minimum of 10 years experience, completed a recognised course in Instrument Technology or an Instrument Apprenticeship and had hands-on experience for the maintenance of a process control system, such as Foxboro or Honeywell 2000, together with a knowledge of chromotographs, onstream analysers and other associated equipment. Some supervisory experience is essential. MECHANICAL SUPERVISORS Applicants should have had a minimum of 10 years experience, completed a recognised Apprenticeship orTechnician Course. They should preferably have had maintenance experience in a chemical process plant or similar industry in either a specialist supervisory field orasa process area supervisor. Experience on large centrifugal and reciprocating compressors, together with a knowledge of the servicing and repair of process pumps both large and small. Supervisory experience would be advantageous. MAINTENANCE PLANNERS These positions require that the applicants have 10-15 years experience in maintenance and construction planning and estimating. It is preferred that the applicants have completed an Apprenticeship or Technician Course and have experience on chemical or petroleum plants. Applicants should also have had experience in supervising trade groups on maintenance turnaround activities. The successful applicants would be required to, at times, fulfil duties as a Maintenance Supervisor and to manage minor project works. Experience with computerised maintenance programmes would be an advantage. These positions offer the successful candidates the opportunity to participate in one of New Zealand’s largest industrial undertakings.
