Writ claims $250,000
PA Wellington A writ claiming $250,000 damages for alleged libel has been filed in the High Court at Wellington by Bob Jones, a Wellington businessman against Hugh Campbell Templeton, the Minister of Trade and Industry.
Mr Jones claims that he is a declared candidate for the Ohariu seat at the 1984 General Election and that Mr Templeton is the National member for the seat. The action arises from a speech by Mr Templeton to the Ohariu branch of the National Party on March 2.
