NZPA Oslo The world record holder, Sebastian Coe, recaptured his best form this week, to clock the fastest time of the year for 800 metres at the Bislett Games athletics meeting. Coe, surprisingly beaten over 1500 metres in Paris recently, produced a devastating change of pace in the home straight to win in Imin 43.805ec.

Steve Ovett also proved he was back to top form, battling through off the bend to win the 1500 metres in 3min 33.79, the second best time in the world this year. John Walker, of New Zealand, finished fourth in 3min 34.70, behind Jose Gonzales (Spain), second in 3:33.93, and Graham Williamson (Britain) in 3:34.01.
