Town rugby squad
The Canterbury rugby selector, Alex Wyllie. has trimmed his squad by three players, and they have been named in Andy Holland’s Town squad for games against Ellesmere and North Canterbury in the next fortnight. The three players are the three-quarters, Bill Anderson and Mardy Vincent, and the utility forward, Anthony Dalzell. The Town XV will play Ellesmere at Southbridge next Wednesday and North Canterbury at Oxford on July 13. After these games Mr Holland will name his Canterbury B
squad. The Town selections are:— Backs.— Gary Cookson, Craig McDowell, Anderson, lan Mather, Vincent, Steve Hansen, Phil Gibson, Wayne Burleigh, Colin Williamson. Steve Baker, Phil Thomas. Forwards.— Peter McLaren, Rob Moffat, Dalzell, Bernie Ryan (Marist), Gary Fuller. Andrew Mills, Gordon Smith. Rob Mclntosh, Ru Koha, Brett Dixon. Training Rugby Park, 10.30 a.m., Sunday, July 3.
