Parliamentary reporter The Minister of Works and Development, Mr Friedlander, will spend two days at Twizel, Cromwell, and Clyde this week. The council was made the offer in April and has yet to hold a special meeting to decide the issue. Mr Friedlander will speak to the Cromwell Borough Council. The Government is financially assisting the borough to relocate sections of the township which will be submerged by the Clyde dam. He will also speak to members of the Public Service Association and the Labourers’ Union about continuing job opportunities in the Waitaki and (teago region.
