Thursday rubbish
Christchurch City Council residents whose rubbish bags were not collected on Thursday because of a strike by collectors should take them off the streets and put them out again on the next normal collection day. That is normal practice when rubbish collections are missed. The only exception
made yesterday was in two areas where bags had already been stacked, and it would have been difficult for householders to identify and retrieve their bags. Those stacked bags were picked up by collectors, but others that were missed because of the wage-freeze protest, should be put out again on Thursday.
