Scheme still valid
PA Wellington The Social Welfare Department had sought advice from the Crown Law Office and the Minister of Justice on appropriate action to take after a recent High Court decision in Auckland which made some liable-
parent contribution forms invalid, the Acting Minister of Social Services, Mr Malcolm has said. Mr Malcolm said that the Court decision did not affect the validity of the scheme and did not remove any obligation from parents to support their children.
