The appointment will be made at Senior Lecturer, Associate Professor or Professor level, depending on qualifications and experience. The position Is to be filled by January 23, 1984. The appointee will be required to teach Matriculation and First Year Science and Mathematics, and may be required to write, revise and coordinate correspondence courses at those levels. DEPARTMENT OF CHEMISTRY SENIOR TECHNICAL OFFICER Applicants should hold a higher technical qualification and have had extensive laboratory experience. Duties will include the supervision of technical staff in the preparation of laboratories for undergraduates’ practical classes. The successful candidate will be responsible for the In-service training of National Technical Staff, and will be closely Involved with the Chief Technician in the ordering of chemicals and Laboratory equipment. There is also the possibility of becoming Involved In research projects with academic staff within the Department. Ability to maintain and repair general laboratory equipment would be an advantage. Applications close July 31, 1983. SALARY: Tutor: K 13.700 per annum plus gratuity. Lecturer: K 16.020 per annum plus gratuity. Senior Tutor: K 16.020 per annum plus gratuity. Senior Technical Officer: K 16.645 per annum plus gratuity. Senior Lecturer: K 19.720 per annum plus gratuity. Associate Professor: K 21.720 per annum plus gratuity.
