Bowenvale walkway
Sir,—D. M. McDowell (June 22) has encouraged other Heathcote ratepayers to comment on the suggestion for a Bowenvale walkway. I for one am strongly in favour, and would be pleased to pay my share of the cost. Such an opportunity is too important to be passed up. My only regret is that action was not taken sooner, before the recent shameful despoliation of a particularly picturesque section of the valley floor, including native kowhais, by a logging road.— Yours, etc., G. E. STEDMAN. June 22, 1983.
