Simmentals sell well
PA Napier Simmental bulls sold in Hawke’s Bay for an average higher price than at the national Simmental sale in Palmerston North.
The 42 Rissington Simmental bulls, all rising two-year-olds, sold for an average of $2762 compared with the national sale average of $2400.
The top price of $5500 was paid by Mr Gilbert Pearce, Putararu, for Rissington Michael, sired by LJB Jade, winner of six Meat and Wool Cups.
