N.Z. golf team

Auckland and Waikato players make up the New Zealand golf team to visit Japan next month. The team, announced at the conclusion of the South Island championship at Nelson yesterday, is:— Michael Barltrop (Auckland), Colin Taylor and Paul Hartstone (both Waikato) and Tony Treen (Auckland). Terry Pulman (Auckland) is. the reserve.

Treen is the only new international. Brent Paterson, of Canterbury, who played well in the South Island championship, has been named in the junior team to play Australia. This team is Philip Aickin (Auckland), Colin Atkinson (Otago), Terry Cochrane (Auckland), and Paterson. Greg Turner (Otago) is the reserve.
