The bike is a 1948 Vincent Grey Flash, which was brought to New Zealand by Surtees, who was the winner of 10 world championships in the 1950s and 19605. Anderson won three world Championships in the 50 and 125 cu cm classes as a works rider for Suzuki in the 1960s. More than 2000 spectators attended the meeting.
