Drivers suspended
PA Dunedin J. Carmichael. D. Nyhan and P. Gallagher had their horseman’s licences suspended at the Forbury Park Trotting Club’s meeting on Saturday night. Carmichael, driver of Jascoe. was stood down until May 5 for causing Main Star to break after 200 m in the G. J. Barton Memorial Handicap. A similar penalty was imposed on Nyhan, driver of About Now. for hampering Our One between the 100 m and the 400 m in the Dunedin Cup. Gallagher was suspended until May 12 for causing interference to “Free Martial after 500 m in the West’s Pace. M. de Filippi, driver of Frosty Gilda in the Nevele Bigshot Handicap, was fined $5O foxattempting to go where there was insufficient room. Frosty Gilda touched the wheel of another runner near the 150 m and broke.
