“Message to women”

Sir, — The Health Department ought to be promoting the stable life-style of lifelong husband and wife marriages. In their “Important Message To Women: How To Have A Baby In 10 Easy Lessons,” point four talks about “the child’s father.” The standard ought to be plainly “your husband.” If a man is not willing to husband a wife or take the declared responsibility to husband his children then he is but a sire. The most important message to any woman is, when you want a baby, make sure that the father is your husband — a man willing to go with you through life’s hard lessons. —Yours, etc., R. J. WALLACE. April 19, 1979.
