This applies to all land whether private or State administered. Permits to hunt State forest may be obtained through local Forest Service officees, permits to hunt National Parks from the Park headquartersfi and for unoccupied Crown land from the Department of Lands and Survey, Christchurch. In addition, any person who wishes to hunt and capture live wild animals should obtain a "permit to capture” from the New Zealand Forest Service Christchurch. This authorises the holder to have live animals in his possession, but does not give authority to enter on to any land.
