Indoor hockey

The two defending champions, University (men) and Carlton (women), have both won their way through to the finals of this year’s Canterbury indoor hockey championships.

In the men’s final University will meet High School Old Boys and Carlton will face Burnside. Both finals, and the play-offs for third and fourth, will be on May 2. Results this week were:—

Men. — Semi-finals: High School Old Boys 3, Harewood 2: University 4, SelwynHillmorton 0. For fifth place: Redcliffs 4, Pegasus 3. For seventh place: Supporters 3, Sydenham-Cashmere 2. Women. —Semi-finals: Burnside 2, Woolston 0: Carlton 6, Harewood 0. For fifth place: Cranmer 2, Halkett 2 (equal fifth). For seventh place: University 3, Linwood
