the health services going,” Dr Pryor said. About 170 doctors will attend the conference, the theme of which will be alcohol and alcohol abuse. A seminar will be held on the topic to which other paramedical professions have been invited. Among the remits to be discussed by the association’s council is one from the Canterbury division seeking legal recognition of alcohol as a mind-alter-ing drug. The division wants alcohol to be added to the schedule of the Misuse of Drugs Act.
