Aust. rifle for C. McNab

Special correspondent Auckland The Te Awamutu rider, Chris McNab, will continue today the flow of top New Zealand jockeys to Australia. Just as Roger Lang and Bob Skelton return home, McNab will be leaving for Sydney. McNab’s assignment will be to ride the Matamata gelding, Bermadez, in the $150,000 Sydney Cup at Randwick tomorrow and he intends to fly back home on Sunday.

A minor placegetter in the 3200 m Brisbane Cup last winter, Bermadez was one of three horses taken to Sydney for races at Rosehill and R and w i ck by Dave O’Sullivan,' the other two being Sbivaree and Blue Denim.
