Esse Autovector now available in Christchurch
One of the best known of the fully clean-air approved solid fuel heaters, but for so long only available from overseas, is now being made in Christchurch by R. Buchanan and Sons, Ltd, who have produced cast iron stoves and fire grates for more than 100 years. This is the Esse Autovector, initially designed
and produced in Scotland and already well proven under New Zealand conditions. The Autovector has a hopper feeding system allowing the stove to operate up to 12 hours on low setting without refilling. It can also be turned up to produce 20,000 B.T.U. The heater is thermostatically controlled and
has a built-in top feed storage hopper for longperiod burning. The front incorporates a glass panelled firedoor. Fuels include anthracite coal, gas, coke and nuts. The Autovector, which should contribute greatly towards the solution of our clean air problems in Christchurch, may be seen at Heating ’79, now showing at the Building Centre.
