Increased efficiency of your open fireplace
We have heard for years about the low level of efficiency of the traditional fireplace. Maxi-Heat changes all this by increasing the relative efficiency of the fireplace by 50 per cent. The results will vary according to the quality and amount of fuel used but what can be described as a small to moderate fire will adequately heat a very large room and make it possible, even necessary, to leave a door ajar, thus helping to warm the rest of the home. An existing fireplace that proved inadequate to heat a large room, when
equipped with a MaxiHeat will be found to make the same room gloriously warm with even an overflow of heat for an adjoining room or rooms. The Maxi-Heat principle ensures that a steady flow of air is heated and expelled to reach every corner of the room. Fresh air from outside can be admitted through a controllable vent in the hearth. An even better approach is to bring outside air through the Maxi-Heat itself. A much greater volume of air is thus available — and it comes pre-heated. However, it is most im-
portant to be able to control and adjust the amount of outside air that is allowed to enter the home. To overcome this problem, some heaters have shutters so as to shut off the air flowing through the heater. The Maxi-Fleat patented arrangement is the best answer to this problem. By adjusting a small lever you can regulate the inflow of fresh air to the degree you require. As you shut off the supply of outside air, it is automatically and safely replaced by air drawn from the room.
