Anglicans in world congress
The world’s 60 million Anglicans will be represented by 60 members of the Anglican Consultative Council when it meets in Ontario, Canada, next month. The clergy and lay representatives are drawn from throughout the world. Two representatives will be sent from New Zealand. The Primate for the Anglican Church of New Zealand (the Most Rev. Dr A. H. Johnston), and a layman, Mr D. M. Wylie, will attend. Mr Wylie is a librarian at Victoria University, Wellington, and a member of the General Synod. Members of the council will start meeting in four setons on May 8, to prepare papers for the plenary sessions of the council, which will begin on May 16. The deliberations will finish on May 18.
